Join the Monroe Police Department for this free event on Saturday April 28, 2018 from 10am-12pm at the Monroe McDonalds.
Meet your police officers, have coffee on us and lets chat. There are no agenda's, just a freindly meet and greet with open dialouge or voice your concerns.
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
The Veteran's Coalition of Monroe, VFW Post 8858 will be hosting the annual Memorial Day Parade on Sunday May 27, 2018.
The parade kicks off at 1:30pm from Smith Clove Park and will end at 3:30pm at the Monroe Cemetary on Route 17M.
Come out and observe and help us all celebrate Memorial Day. Observation of parade can be from Carpenter Place, Lake Street or along Route 17M.
MONROE FARMERS MARKET
The Village of Monroe Activities Committee will host a Farmers Market every Sunday starting June 3, 2018 through November 18, 2018.
The market is held in the commuter parking lot on Millpond Parkway from 8am-2pm.
Come down to purchase fresh produce, baked goods, pickles and so much more from local farmers and vendors.
VILLAGE CONCERT SERIES "ROCKIN' THE PONDS"
The Village of Monroe Activities Committee will host free concerts throughout the summer of 2018. The concerts start at 7pm and end at 8:30pm on Lake Street between the ponds. Enjoy a fun evening out while listening to local bands. Alcohol is NOT permitted!
Concerts will be held on the following dates. In the event of a cancellation due to rain, the concert will be held the same time on the Sunday following:
June 9th and 23rd
July 7th and 21st
August 11th and 25th
The Monroe Police Department will host our annual Bicycle Rodeo on Saturday June 16, 2018 from 8:am-12pm at the commuter parking lot on Millpond Parkway.
Join our Bicycle Patrol Officers and learn bicycle safety, ride through obstacle courses and enjoy hot dogs , ice cream and free giveaways.
VILLAGE OF MONROE INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL
The Village of Monroe will be hosting an Independence Day Festival on Tuesday July 3, 2018. The festivities begin at 6pm on Lake Street between the ponds with vendors and music and at dark there will be a fireworks display. The fireworks can be observed from Lake Street and Millpond Parkway areas. Please be advised that several roads will be closed for this event and expect traffic delays of one hour or more after the event. The rain date for this event will be on July 6th.
VILLAGE OF MONROE CARNIVAL
The Village of Monroe Activities Committee will be hosting a Carnival at Crane Park August 2, 2018- August 5, 2018. Bring the family and enjoy the rides, games and food. The dates and times of the carnival are as follows:
Thursday August 2nd- 6pm-11pm
Friday August 3rd- 6pm-11pm
Saturday August 4th- 1pm-11pm
Sunday August 5th- 2pm-11pm
Please join us on September 11, 2018 at 7pm at the 911 Memorial Gazebo located on Route 17M across from Bridge Street and the State Farm Insurance Building as we remember and honor those that perished during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. We will never forget the heros that perished that day.
VILLAGE OF MONROE WINTER FESTIVAL
The Village of Monroe Activities Committee will host a Winter Festival on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 1pm at Lake Street between the ponds. The festivities will include a bon-fire, free hot choclate, arts and crafts and a hay ride around the Millpond.
